When the Cains started renovating their farm in 2013, Heather had no intention of being a flower farmer. But she did plant a row of zinnias next to the tomatoes. The next year she planted two rows. Four years (and many flowers) later she decided to become a flower farmer.
Heather grows specialty cut flowers with the help of her husband and sons on an acre next to the vegetable patch, behind the goat pasture. Their farm cat Violet can often be found nearby offering "encouragement" to the plants while LeeRoy, the family dog romps nearby. The family cows and chickens work hard all day making fertilizer. Buzzing around amongst all these creatures are the bees that Brett tends, who love the flowers more than anyone. Each flower that we sell has been grown with the help of all these people and creatures. We love what we do!
